Back to back World Series Championships. Pitched professionally for 17 years, including 9 major league seasons. Coached by and played alongside some of the best in the game. Jim’s experience has given him deep-rooted respect for baseball and values, enabling him to relate and connect with players of all ages and abilities.
There are coaches out there that have great knowledge. Some have great experience. Jim brings both knowledge and experience, as well as a great passion to educate. Brower Baseball is committed to studying and learning so they can continually offer a program that stays current, impactful and fun.
Currently employed as the Chicago Cubs Pitching Coordinator, Jim uses baseball’s most contemporary techniques and knowledge in his instruction.
His pitching and training programs constantly evolve and allow him to teach the most progressive information currently available.
Kansas City Royals’ 2014 American League Championship Ring
The 2014 Kansas City Royals' season was the 46th for the Royals franchise. On September 26, 2014 the Royals clinched a playoff berth for the first time since 1985. They became the first team in Major League history to win their first 8 postseason games in a row. They lost to the San Francisco Giants in seven games.
The top of the Royals’ 2014 American League championship ring depicts an interlocking Royals KC logo on top of a baseball diamond. The diamond logo, perched on a blue stone was specifically designed to match the Royals’ blue. The words AMERICAN LEAGUE CHAMPIONS surround the logo and field and border the top of the ring. The left side of each ring has the recipient’s name across the top and two flags representing Kansas City’s 8-0 start to the postseason. The right side depicts the American League logo, surrounded by three diamonds representing the Royals’ three AL pennants.
Kansas City Royals 2015 World Series Championship Ring
The Royals made their second consecutive World Series appearance in 2015 after winning the American League in 2014. They won the series for the first time since 1985.
The top of the ring features the iconic KC logo crest in blue sapphires and diamonds. The words WORLD CHAMPIONS frame the top and bottom of the ring. The sides of the ring feature the Royals crown logo in white diamonds and blue sapphires peek through from behind the crown. Side one of the ring features the recipients name and an image of Kauffman Stadium overlaid with the KC logo and then the MLB logo is on the bottom. Side two features the championship year 2015. Also featured is a baseball diamond that surrounds a silhouette of the World Series trophy. The inside of the ring features the Royals logo, the 2015 championship slogan CROWNED, the words BACK TO BACK AL CHAMPS and the corresponding series scores for the ALDS, ALCS and WS, each set next to logos of three teams. The entire ring features 2.5 carats of diamonds, 32 princess cut sapphires and 31 custom-cut sapphires.
Chicago Cubs 2016 World Series Championship Ring
The Cubs defeated the Cleveland Indians in seven games in the 2016 World Series, their first appearance since the 1945 World Series and first win since the 1908 World Series. The World Series victory put an end to the so-called “Curse of the Billy Goat” and the longest World Series championship drought in history of 108 years.
The top of the ring reads WORLD CHAMPIONS and features the Cubs bullseye logo. Continuing down the ring’s top edges are 108 round-cut diamonds representing the 108 years since the Cubs last World Series Championship. The left side features the recipient’s name set atop the W flag. The right side features the championship year 2016 as well as the iconic Wrigley Field Marquee. The World Series Trophy sits just below the marquee.WE NEVER QUIT is featured on the palm crest at the bottom of the ring’s outer band. The inside of the ring features an image of the goat, the date and time of the championship (11/3/16 12:47 AM) as well as the corresponding series scores and opponents from the playoffs. The ring weighs 80 grams and includes 5.5 carats of round diamonds.
